Introduction
The Yngling is a 6 metre keelboat that has an International Class status. The Yngling was designed by Jan Linge of Norway in 1967, the boat was design with his young son in mind, Linge had earlier designed the Soling. The boat is for a 3 crew, the rig is fractional with Mail, non overlapping Jib and Spinnaker with a weight of 650kg.
Ynglings have racing fleets across 3 Continents Europe, USA and Australia. A World Championship Regatta is staged every year in a different country.
In Australia the Ynglings home of racing is at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron at Kirribilli NSW. The class association is based at the RSYS.
